2009 Geneva Auto Show
After having missed the Geneva Auto Show for over 10 years, I finally returned.
Having access on Media Day made it a fantastic return to what I consider to be the absolute best of any of the global auto shows taking place every year. Paris Auto Show, too many French cars ... Frankfurt Auto Show, too many Germans ... New York Auto Show, hmmm, do I need to say anything about Detroit? ... and the Tokyo Auto Show, although a great one, it is simply too far and therefore too expensive for car manufacturers to transport everything out there. So that leaves the Geneva Auto Show ... Neutral country, amazing facilities, great logistics (right at the airport), and literally everyone comes. Year in, year out, it is a major success.
With the Media Pass in hand, it was such a liberating experience to walk around and enjoy the cars, have full, up-close access to all displays, without the usual crush of the 800,000+ people who visit the show every year.
